Voters who supported Barack Obama in 2008 but either did not vote or voted against Democrats in 2010 are poised to give the president their vote in 2012, according to a recently released poll.

The survey (PDF) by the group Third Way, a think tank that supports moderate policies, found that 43 percent of Obama voters who supported Republicans in 2010 ("switchers") and 78 percent of those who didn't vote in 2010 ("droppers") either strongly or moderately approved the president's performance during his first term.

1. I see Third Way is still pushing their "moving to the right works" meme.
Don't those clowns ever face reality?

3. They are dumb just like many of the so-called swing voters. They
don't know which side their bread is buttered on and never will.

4. they've learned from Goebbels
keep pushing the propaganda, even if it's a flat out lie. Wasn't it not too long ago that we'd only expect this sort of tactic from the repugs?

Now Third Way follows it religiously.

2. So liberals have always supported this president
And this poll states that moderate Dems and even the apathetics that gave Congress to the Repubs in 2010 are returning to this president.

So as to be expected, the only ones he is having problems with are Republicans and people who vote Republican (the 43% of Obama voters who voted Repub in 2010). And of course, his problems with independents still stand.

While this poll is definitely encouraging, I am still hoping his numbers with independents will improve.

5. Tell me that after the returns come in tonight
in the election to replace Anthony Weiner. PPP was saying almost 30% of registered Dems were planning on voting for Turner, the Repug.
