1. Ummm, weren't the Democrats pushing this same sort of idea themselves not too long ago?
I mean, this would more accurately reflect the will of the people, right?

2. Only if it's done in all 50 states at the same time.
What they're doing here is being selective and only implementing it in places where it would help Republicans.

7. And that's what's so damn criminal about it.
At least Nebraska seems to have a system in which no particular party gets all the benefits.........but not so in PA, if this passes.

4. No, I don't think so.
A Democrat would never suggest such a system because Democrats tend to lose the majority of the counties since they do better in the dense population centers.

I think what you're thinking of is that certain states have agreed to change their rules (once a sufficient number of states agree) so that all their EVs are awarded to the winner of the national vote thus making the EC irrelevant.
