1. What time was that picture taken!?!? Was it after 5:00 pm? If not ... well this is DU ...
so President Obama must be excoriated as a problem drinker.

2. Funny seeing the Fox News reporter who broke this on twitter being respectful:
http://twitter.com/#!/edhenryTV

Defends the President and says it wasn't "just a photo op..."

Apparently Meyers asked the President to have a beer with him and the President happily obliged. Really cool. :)

3. Sounds like the Marine was the one who initiated the meeting, not Obama
Edited on Wed Sep-14-11 08:54 PM by bluestateguy
So it seems fair to surmise that he wanted to meet the president.

5. Every time I see a picture of this area of the White House, I wonder:

Why the crappy patio furniture?

6. Yes, the White House basically has what I have on my patio--
the cheap wrought iron set from a big box. I would have expected better.

7. Well, if the government bought it, it probably cost millions.

10. I have that crappy furniture!
I got mine second hand. I'm guessing they didn't get the same deal I did.

13. What a snobby thing to post!
Yikes. Sounds like something a UC TWIT would say.

14. What's a UC TWIT?
But I don't consider it a snobby remark (obviously). I generally expect the White House to have extremely nice furnishings, not something I've owned myself.

16. Great pic. And what a hero...when I heard about what that guy did & how humble he is...
it amazes me. He truly is a hero deserving of the Medal of Honor.
