1. Its even worst then that because
once there is only one repuke left, there are going to be "independents" who are going to draw away GOP voters, as well as those who refuse to vote because their guy isn't the nominee.

2. Next time I hear any shit about him losing PA I'm going to show them this poll.
I actually had someone try to tell me that MA was going to swing red. Massa-fucking-chusetts will swing red in a Presidential when hell freezes over.

5. A Senate election is a lot different than a Presidential.
Montana hasn't been in play for 15 years, but it's got a Democratic governor and two Democratic Senators.

16. New York and California, too! The Jews are "leaving Obama" over Israel
supposedly. And in California, the Naderites are forming primary challenges against the president.

4. If those numbers hold
Their trickery will not be enough to steal it.

Realistically these types of laws can only move the numbers a percent or two.

9. Dude, he can win PA and get less than half the electoral votes ...
THAT is the law they are trying pass, having the electoral votes distributed according to the winner of the congressional districts.

The way PA is gerryrigged, we have nearly 1 million more registered Ds than register Rs, and have an R governor, complete control of the state senate and house by Rs, and it is not even close, and more R congressmen than D congressman.

He could win Pa by 5 or more percentage points and get less electoral votes from the state than an R.

19. They can't gin a statewide election as easily
That is their problem. They have rigged the state to have super control when it is broken in pieces, but they can't control it statewide.

The state has this bizarre trend of R, D, R, D, R, D ... Governors. That along with a rebound year got them the lunatic we have now in the governor spot. We had a GREAT candidate for senate in Joe Sestak and he nearly beat the tide before losing to Toomey in their best case scenario year.

The margins for statewide races in 06/08 for Rendell, Casey and BO were really signficant.

They know that with BO and Casey both on the ticket, a presidential year and BOs pull with the university kids, that even with things looking rough now, he and Casey, who has won by VERY large margins in about 4 statewide races now, will very likely carry the state.

Frankly, with BO likely losing some states he won the first go around, this very well could literally be the difference in the presidential.

7. Too bad none are good options
none stand for the people - while ALL stand for the corporations - Obama included. yes, he's less crazy than those running on the republican side, but his policies are pure republican and he should be a shame to any Dem who is even slightly progressive.

Let's hope these numbers hold, and even improve the closer we get to election day. :dem:

If Obama wins PA then its a much easier road to victory.

13. Most people around this area I live think Perry is just a clown
and Romney considered a bit aloof by some, but neither serious threats or contenders. Then again, I was shocked and disappointed to see Corbett elected. I shouldn't jinx the turnout

15. Rendell fell into this trap 10 days before the GE. He was yelling at Obama to "get his ass down"
to Pennsylvania. The Corporate Media fed Rendell lies about Obama being in trouble in PA. (Coincidentially, they did this shit in New Jersey as well.) As it turns out, the president was expected to win PA handily.

I wish they'd stop this shit. And Democrats who fall for it, including Rendell, should be ashamed of themselves!

17. If Obama gets his jobs bill passed
And jobs start to appear, he will win in a landslide. Maybe the Dems should think about getting rid of the Electoral vote, and go with popular vote instead.

21. Frontrunner
Don't let the RW talking points take hold. Obama is the front runner right now, he's ahead in the race and this is at a time where the Repubs are garnering much of the attention. Obama would beat any Republican if the election were held next week.
