Wasn't Lieberman against repealing DADT?
Now he appears to support it?

1. Absolutely not. He was always against DADT.
He was one of those who voted against it when it was passed, I think.

2. No. He was always a strong supporter of LGBT rights, DADT being repealed being one of them.

We may hate him for all other politics and his dirty dealing with the Repubs, in bed with the Big Pharma; but on this---he's a good guy.

3. Lieberman has been awful on a lot of issues
DADT was, surprisingly, not one of them. One of the few times he didn't go along with his BFF John McCain.

5. No. As loathsome as Lieberman might be in some ways,
he has long been good on LGBT issues.

7. It's not a switch.
It's one of the few reasons he remained a Democrat, if you ask me.

12. Repeal was pushed through the Senate by Reid and Lieberman
wouldn't have happened without Joe Lieberman.
