Perry Is Done
Goodbye Governor Good Hair. We hardly knew ya. Time to join President Thompson and President Guliani.

I could do this with Democratic presidential hopefuls who came on the scene like a rocket and fell to the earth like a meteor but I won't.

3. His Lead Is Evaporating Like Spit On A Summer Mississippi Street
And as Texans like to say " he's all hat and no cattle."

My money is on the Flip Flopper.

6. Yes... my money has always been on the "Flip Flopper"
who could pose a threat, if he weren't held in such disdain by so many on the far Right... but, I would never become overly confident, by any means.

7. I Think The Flip Flopper Is The Bigger Threat
I know some folks are saying that the Democrats, much to their chagrin, are understimating Rick Perry as they did Ronald Reagan but I reject the comparison.

Rick Perry is no Ronald Reagan.

18. I used to think the flip flopper was a big threat. Then I saw him debate. He doesn't "pop". Obama
does big time. Plus now that Obama has found his fighting spirit people will want to line up behind him.

2. While coffee was brewing this a.m. I listed to MoJoe and he was going
on and on about how stupid Perry was, his overreaching, etc. to make these remarks while the POTUS is due to make a speech at the UN on the subject. Joe does not like him and more or less said the same thing. Over reaching was the word for the morning..

8. his lead is narrowing, and becoming more realistic. It will be a two-man race between
Perry and Romney all the way to the convention. May they tear each other apart.

11. Romney's Best Hope Is That The Others Stick Around
And his fervent prayer is that Sarah Palin gets in the race. Because they are all to the right of him and siphon off votes from Perry.

If Palin gets in the race I would go to my friends to borrow money to put on Romney at intrade because she is a dagger aimed at Perry's heart.

My original post might be hyperbolic, premature, and embarrassingly wrong but I don't see him beating Romney.

Politics and political races aren't hard to figure out if you think with your head and not with your heart.

I think the last "big surprise" was Jimmy Carter who literally came out of nowhere to wrest the nomination and presidency.

23. Can You Imagine A Debate Stage with Perry, Bachmann, Santorum, and Palin
With so much ignorance in one place, that could open a wormhole of stupidity and suck us all in it.

What a waste of oxygen to have these idiots on the same stage!! I'd rather have an ice pick stuck into my skull while taking a watermelon up the ass rather than watch that shit!!

Unfathomably awful.

The Mitt-Flopper may be the only one in that group who wouldn't start a nuclear war because of the voices in his head.

22. So Do I
As I said , up thread, to the average person without a firm ideology, Romney comes off as calm and reassuring. He has the demeanor of a real estate salesperson.

16. One day
Well, one reason I would think Perry has stepped in it, is because yesterday he called Pres Obama an appeaser @ Israel. And today

Netanyahu says Obama wears a badge of honor for his support of Israel.

17. Nope. All he needs to do is give a few speeches about how much he loves Jesus, get going with the
birther meme and talk a little "Teabagger" and he is in. Crazy wins now since the crazies run the party.

20. Since when do Republican and American voters in general care about Republicans
who flip-flop? When Bush II, McCain or ANY Republican flip-flops, it goes unnoticed and is not addressed.

When a Democrat "flip-flops," a la John Kerry, it can cause the loss of an election. :(
