2. The Tea Party have been saying this all along.
Last night Gingrich took a sidewise stab in that direction.

"We should not be paying people for doing nothing".

He went on to explain that Uemployment Insurance should
only be paid to people in training program that offers
a job upon completion.

I ask Which Companies are offering such programs?????

These pie in the skie answers that Republicans are permitted
to get away with.

Totally ignore the facts. We are in a Depression--If there
were jobs to be had the people would not be on Unemployment.

11. the expectation is that conservatives will maintain rigid conformity to ideological doctrine
I am beginning to think that Obama supporters demand the same sort of conformity from progressive Democrats?

How do we distinguish the two?

20. Gringich is a moron
It is insurance. No one is being "paid" for doing nothing, but paid off for insurance they paid for. By that "reasoning" then anyone who collects on any type of insurance is paid for doing nothing and gets free repairs/medical treatment/whatever.

3. I thought that Newt had said something similar in the debate last night.
I don't know if these people are just plain stupid or callous.

Either way, I wish that they were the ones with mouths to feed, bills to pay and a meager unemployment check holding everything together by a thin thread.

Are we back in Dicken's Britain?

7. that is why Warren asked him if he agreed with Newt's statement on
unemployment insurance and he said QUOTE: Absolutely we need to get rid of this unemployment insurance because it makes people lazy Newt is right on this. Man I tell you if we had blacks like Armstrong back in the slavery days we never would have been freed

5. INSURANCE IS A PONZI SCHEME!
Ban all insurance.

Sarcasm....wait.....that would include medical insurance, disaster insurance, mortgage default insurance, vehicle insurance.....

Actually - the financial banksters would blow a gasket.....that might be better than you think.

19. I'm not worried at all about paying someone to do nothing -
the big worry in our country is that business is allowed to not adequately pay those who are working!
