OK, straighten me out, here. Too many things seem to be connected.

We have Occupy Wall Street, then we have Occupy many other cities. Now, I receive an email from Van Jones regarding the American Dream Movement.

Van Jones is the one who resigned shortly after being named to a Green job in the WH, right? We have Occupy Wall Street which wasn't coming forth with much of a message of why they were marching (at least to satisfy the media) and we had questions about why Obama wasn't taking a stand on the occupation. Now, we have the Washington meeting for the American Dream Movement, with powerful speakers, I might add. Next we have marches for something in Washington on Thursday, Oct. 6th which sounds related.

Could all of these be connected and (perhaps) a project given to Van Jones to organize when he left the WH?

Just thinkin'.

Today starts the first national gathering of the American Dream Movement.

<snip>

We're livestreaming the whole thing, starting this morning, here:

http://www.rebuildthedream.com/

http://www.moveon.org/r?r=264654&id=31656-5750662-IIKv%3DPx&t=1

This summit couldn't come at a more critical moment. With the Occupy Wall Street protests spreading from New York City to dozens of cities around the country, it's clear that Americans are hungry for real, fundamental change. The young people who are camped out at Occupy Wall Street are demanding a government that's responsive to the 99%, not the 1% who can afford lobbyists. They are calling for an end to corporate influence of our democracy, and for a return to an economy that's more geared toward Main Street than Wall Street.

<snip>

I'll be speaking at the conference along with movement leaders including Robert Reich, Katrina vanden Heuvel, Richard Trumka, Mary Kay Henry, and Rep. Barney Frank.

4. I think Van Jones "resigned" --
Wasn't he kind of the fall guy for ACORN? :(

But thanks for this! :hi:

11. He was Obama's "Green Jobs" Czar
I think this resignation had something to do with (possibly) having been a "truther"? I'm still not at all clear why he had to resign over that. Glenn Beck was going after him and all of the rest of the "czars" around that time.

7. Isn't this suppose to be a public forum?

I don't like people that ask questions such as yours, there is always a motive
and from my experience in all the forums I have visited, republicans seems to be the
ones with most question because they don't understand how new things work and once
they do, they try and destroy it.

Case in point, the INTER_TUBES.

Nothing against you personally, just sharing my 1 cent.

8. Say what? I was asking if those things could all be connected...
and if Van Jones could be coordinating them.

Your post doesn't make any sense. Sorry!

9. The ATF attacked their house
a house full of children, may I add; they did not attempt to serve papers peacefully, they attacked with vigor.

And in Texas no less, where 'Castle Doctrine' is an especially prized law.

All while dozens of armored agents, replete with tanks, armored helicopters and other armaments, simultaneously invaded (by door, windows and right through the siding) the main house

all while, incredulously, they broadcasted via a PA system: "This Is Not An Assault!"

What, then, IS an assault?

The Branch Davidians were on the receiving end of a fucking shooting gallery

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmYe_lW7kRA

The front door, riddled with incoming bullets, 'mysteriously disappeared' from evidence for the Congressional investigation and court cases.
O rly, how surprising! :eyes:

The "Federal authorities surrounded the compound... with razor-sharp concertina wire to prevent people from running out"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRTfEjhdvSo&feature=related

I don't need to supply yet more damning videos, there are documentaries along with videos all over the web.

Waco was a slaughter, and would be called so under Republican or Democratic administration; to deny this is the ultimate display of partisanship.
What happened was inexcusable. Whatever Koresh's gang did was absolutely not worthy of an arbitrary, blanket death sentence.

Bottom line: the Branch Davidians got 'uppity' with the governmental authorities, and they and all their holdings were then obliterated.

I'm not discounting the entire Clinton administration, they did a lot of good things
but they did a number of horrific, ill-advised things --not examining the claims (and testosterone levels) of the ATF, FBI, CIA, etc., such as their, but not limited to, groupthink and agendas; one of which being what was good for them alone (including pride)

not the People they were supposed to protect and serve
and who incidentally paid their salaries.

This cannot be washed, spun or propagandized away.
