1. Nothing to bragg about. Here`s another take |
|
Osama? Killed thousands of civilians in the process of destabilizing Pakistan.
Gaddafi? Started another illegal war pretending to protect civilians. Resulting in more dead civilians from NATO strikes than Gaddafi could have caused.
Hurricane? I give you the hurricane.
2´nd recession? Saved the banksters asses in bipartisan fashion. Laying foundation for the 3`d recession.
Donuts? ok, I also give you the donuts.

- Killed thousands of civilians? That is a red herring. Civilians always die in wars. Sure, it sucks, but the question is, was the war fought for the right reasons or not. Civilians were killed by all actors in WWII as well. Should the allies have let the axis take over the world just to make sure they did not kill any civilians? So instead of raising the red herring, make the case for whether the war was right or wrong to be fought. While you are making that case, be sure to account for the fact that Obama didnt start that war and inherited a bad situation there.
- Gaddafi... - Started an illegal war? How many times can you be wrong in a short sentence? The US didnt start the war and wasnt a primary actor in it. The action was authorized by the UN making it not illegal by definition. You can try to argue as some have that the war exceeded the UN mandate, but thus far, no such objection has been raised in the UN.
- Saved the banksters? That was the Bush bailout.
So, you are 0 for 3 in your Obama attacks.

when was war declared against Pakistan? And Pakistan was not inherited like Afghanistan. It was one of his campaign memes. And the number of drone attacks under Obama let´s bush`s stand small.
Come on. The war against Libya is illegal. The no fly zone meme the UN authorized was a lie. NATO airstrikes continue despite the fact that the Libyan airforce doesn´t exist anymore. Are you aware of the massacre in Sirte that´s taking place right now? If you argue Obama is not responsible for the atrocities committed in libya, how can the OP bragg about Obama toppling Gaddafi? Make up your mind.
The Bush bailout? Lol, so the dems were tricked into supporting it?
If you want to make the case for Obama, I recommend not to do it with points that would endear him to republicans. It makes him look as if in the department of achievements for progressives there isn´t much to be shown...
Don´t know if you are really helping him with that.

A state of war already existed in Af-Pak when Obama became President. Just because war wasnt declared doesnt mean a state of war didnt exist.
"The no fly zone meme the UN authorized was a lie". Really? You are going with that disjointed, begging the question statement?
"The Bush bailout..." - the point is you attacked Obama for it and he wasn't President.
---------------------- If you want to make any case for anything, I suggest you think before typing next time. Your accusations are disjointed, aimed at people who werent president at the time, and generally wrong.

The average American is pretty good at expressing their own opinion on those things.
And they liked them.

11. That's a real stretch. |

All I can give him at this time is Bin Laden. The Libyans toppled Gaddafi; there's always another hurricane (although he's done fine so far); verdict is still out on the Depression - postponed would be better, I think.
Pass the god damn donuts.
