President Barack Obama, in Orlando for two fundraisers, took a sidetrip to an Irish bar to meet with unemployed construction workers. Hoisting a glass of Guinness he said, "To more jobs."

Obama told the workers part of the reason he wanted to stop by is because he wanted to help create jobs. "You guys are what this country's all about," Mr. Obama said, according to a report filed by a traveling reporter.

As the group of six talked, someone brought Obama a Guinness. "Look at that," he said, examining it. "Now that looks good."

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer thought so, too. "Is that a Guinness?" he said. "Can I get one of those, too?"

POTUS then raised his glass and the construction workers raised theirs.

"To more jobs," he said.

And they clinked glasses.

1. There was a typo....
...he actually said "To more hops."

It's easy to see why the mistake happened.

I wish someone can give me the name of the guy in the striped shirt. He looks like someone who was on the commission at the same time that he was a partner with a construction company that was involved with major developments occurring in town. Made two million dollars just on one deal, I heard.

Obama, Dyer and the workers — Michael Whidden, a pipe fitter from Gotha; Patricia Mooney-Hildebrand, a pipe fitter from Titusville; Mark Mckim, a plumber from Sanford; and Jesse Morgan, a pipe fitter from Auburndale — talked briefly about working on jobs such as the Amway Center and how slow the construction business has been in Central Florida the past two years.

5. Thanks Enrique.
I swear that guy in the striped shirt looks exactly like the smooth operator we once had as a commissioner in town.

Oily bugger.
