OPINION: At this point in time, give the slate of the GOP candidates, anyone primarying Obama... |
|
is nothing more than a shill for the GOP to attempt to plant the "Obama doesn't have the support of his party" meme.
It's a waste of time It's a waste of energy It's a waste of money
It's a waste of everything that could be used to secure the 2012-2016 office and build the Democratic seats in the House/Senate.

4. Who said I'm disappointed? |

It would rank as the stupidest thing in politics in the last 200 years if anyone did.
(however the unreccers/primaryers are already out in force against this.. so you better tell them)

3. Just wait for the "liberally-biased media"'s outcry (strangely missing in 2004) |
|
about how a sitting president should still have a primary should the Dems bypass a primary like the 2004 Repugs did ...

6. At this point in time I've lost interest in the primary thing - what OWS is doing |
|
is much more important in the long term. Not that they'll immediately cause big change - but at least people are thinking they might be able to resist now. That is more than I've seen in a long time and we can build on it.

But sooner or later, the populist rebellion must be translated into political action. Unless Obama makes a sea change in his deeds, he remains part of the problem. Can he be forced by a populist rebellion to finally start trying to do the right thing? I hope so. But his combination of 1% advisors and naivete about bi-partisanship do not bode well for such a change, currently.
He is participating in the destruction of the ecosystem and the world economy. Unless his deeds change, his rhetoric of "consider the alternative" leaves me with no reason to vote, because both parties are destroying America. At this point, I support a primary challenge. I fervently hope I can be dissuaded by Obama's actions.

As it stands now, all we have to choose from are candidates who are right of center, far right, or on the lunatic fringe of the GOP. Great choices.

next year?
Look for another bloodbath if the president continues to schmooze the Repukes instead of the people who voted for him in 2008

you are of course insisting that anyone who tries to pull the president and the party platform back from Reaganomics/Bush Doctrine/kill-the-public-schools is a mole and sabateur. I say that NOT protesting those policies is suicidal.

13. I'm all for free speech.. however in this time and this place.. it's the equivalent ... |
|
.. of walking in a Hell's Angels bar and screaming "All You Pussy Bikers Suck!"
It's your right to do it, but you won't be happy with the results.

Let the GOP and their buddies the "New DEMs" take credit for their failed GOP policies. Time to root out the "New DEM" rot from our Party. Go back to the GOP from wence you came!
