1. Earlier, I heard Deutsch say that there needed to be some
iconic photo (such as at Kent State !!!!). Then he backed down and said he didn't mean something like that should happen - God forbid.

I had to turn it off. Everyone at the table is still pretending they don't know what OWS is all about. Willie looks bewildered as usual, Mika looks like she would rather be sitting in a nail salon, Mike Barnicle is useless, Joe is an asshole. That sums it up.

Oh and Donnie said the movement needs to grow up!

9. It's the same thing every morning. I don't know why I watch.
I guess I need some mind numbing program while I drink my coffee.

13. I can see his point, Kent State was the defining moment of
the anti-war demonstrations. That was the straw that broke the camel's back, that tragedy was what finally woke the American people up and brought the Vietnam war to an end. If the OWS succeeds there will a defining moment caught on camera that turns the tide, who knows what it will be. The guy that backed the tank down in Tiananmen Square, pulling down the statue of Saddam Hussein in Iraq, when Yeltsin backed the Soviet army down at the Russian White House.

15. I think the words just came out wrong, but I agree it was a
defining moment. Until there are OWS protests on college campuses (and I'm sure there will be), the media will finally wake up. I was in college from 1970-1974 and took part in many demonstrations against the war. Even on my small, state owned campus we had hundreds of people marching.

5. Why do people watch this show?
Is there nothing else on any cable channel anywhere at that time of day? Could you watch something online instead? Or do you like starting your day angry and frustrated?

I don't get it.

8. As Joe just said, 'It's entertainment.' I think John Stewart would agree.
And, sadly, these idiots have political influence--even if they have no 'gravitas.'

14. Consider the source
What do you expect from a man who defended torture? He's a status quo, go along to get along man all the way and is incapable of having an original thought in his head.
