What are the main issues OBAMA has to change to win?
Obama is lower in the polls right now but what are the main issues Obama has to turn around before Nov 2012? How is he going to do the changes?
The Republicans are waiting in the wings with their low taxes and never ending wars?

1. He basically has to use his war chest to convince people
Edited on Sun Oct-16-11 02:24 PM by NewJeffCT
that Mitt Romney, Herman Cain, Rick Perry, or whoever, would be a far worse choice than Obama.

I don't think the Republicans in the House will allow him to do much, if anything, to help the economy.

Other than that, getting out of Iraq by the end of the year, and drawing down in Afghanistan will help some as well.

In 2004, a know a lot of Republicans who disliked Bush, but voted for him anyways because they were convinced by Rove that Kerry would be worse.

2. He is not a tool of Wall Street
Oh, that is going to be a tough sell. Historically, this was easy for Democrats, however, Obama has not just blurred the line of differences between Rethuglicans, he has erased it!

If Obama starts throwing some of the Banksters in jail and confiscating their ill gotten gains similar to the way his justice () department has treated evil marijuana dealers, then he may still eke out a win in 2012.

However, Obama has shown no inclination to prosecute either criminal bankers, government sanctioned torturers, or Rethuglican election fraud. I will not vote for him again.

7. Recent activities of the DEA are not going to win hm
Any voters.

Californians are unemployed, on Food Stamps, and now upset over the DEA coming after the Medical Marijuana clinics. In some locales, those clinics pay enough in taxes to merit favorable citations from local government leaders.

To some of us, it looks like he doesn't even want the win in 2012.

4. He'll win cause repugs won't do anything to enable them to say, 'We did this,'
and he/we'll use that, as well as their 'nuttiness,' against them.
To succeed in improving things, he/we have to get rid of the repugs.

5. fire Arne Duncan and end his support of corporate driven education reform
Obama has done admirable things as far as education funding, but keeping a the mass firing, union busting, test mania, private charter school backing Duncan, whose appointment was praised by the far right muddies the waters with teachers who would otherwise be his strongest supporters.

It's hard to whole-heartedly campaign for someone who treats you more as part of the problem than part of the solution.

10. I was going to do a White House petition on that: fire all advocates of deregulation and
lax regulators (like Geithner) who caused or allowed economic collapse.

19. People are NOT in the streets protesting against Obama.
The anger is being directed toward Wall Street, Corporations, and the Billionaires.

You trying to spin this into a bash against President Obama IS the only joke I see.
