2. I Hope He Mentions All The Dead Dictators
and Taliban leaders he's helped topple, including that treasonous traitor in Yemen.

Flame away, I'm glad the US Taliban YouTube dude is dead.

4. I bet he won't. He'll probably just give credit to the Libyan rebels. Well, he'll
probably mention NATO, the Arab League, and the others that WANTED our help/gave their approval.

10. another speech
to crow about another bad guy dead. ya think?

wouldn't it be wonderful, if he went out there and said, today is the day the president comes out as a supporter of the 99%, the beginning of the end of the economic injustice machine...zzzzz...

oh sorry i drifted off for a minute.

11. He doesn't "crow" about anything. You're thinking of Bush. Obama will

most likely praise the Libyan people and others.

Obama has already said he empathizes with the 99%.

13. i'm not thinking of bush
i try not to. please don't presume to tell me what i'm thinking.
President Obama does crow imo. but don't get me wrong. i am still very happy that he is the president and very much committed to seeing him reelected. that doesn't mean that i agree with every move he's made. i'm tired of the killing and wonder why that has to be the occasion for a press conference. and as for him "empathizing" with the 99%, great. go one better. take steps to prosecute the guilty and balance the inequities. all the empathy in the world won't change what is happening and has been happening for over 30 years now.

17. Really? He crows? When did he ever crow about anything? You mean when he announced the death of
bin Laden? You think that was wrong? You DO know the U.S. has been trying to get him since 9/11 and before, right? He DID declare war on us.

You think it'll be wrong of him to praise the Libyan people for overthrowing their dictator of 40 years?

23. That's crap. That's what the GOP PROJECTS onto him
because they do it ad nauseum.

If you look around, he gets a whole bunch of static for being overly humble about what this administration has accomplished.

14. Folks like you are living in the past. Pres. Obama has never staged braggadocio. Quite the opposite.
Edited on Thu Oct-20-11 12:21 PM by ClarkUSA
I won't be shedding any tears for Gaddafi. Those who opposed the U.N. sanctioned NATO missions might want to re-examine their outrage at some point. We empowered the Libyans to throw off the yoke of decades of brutal dictatorship. They fought the ground war and suffered appalling casualties as a result. Our role is less than the French in the American Revolution. If you sneer at this historical turn of events and the long-awaited democracy that will result in Libya, then your very evident disdain for President Obama trumps any sense of global justice.
