Take a deep breath now Europe... Your Libyan oil supply is secure
How fucking dare Qaddaffi negotiate with India and China re: oil contracts. Simply brilliant to negotiate a deal with the rebels trading military support including Sarkozy leading Obama by the nose into war for exclusive oil deals...

:sarcasm:

Brilliant

1. Take a deep breath now GSLevel 9... Your conspiracy theory is ridiculous and fact-free.
Edited on Thu Oct-20-11 12:45 PM by ClarkUSA
If anything, Libya's oil supply would have remained more "secure" had the British and French not successfully petitioned the U.N. for an intervention. The conspiracy theories about Iraq were idiotic as well. Ditto for Afghanistan. None have panned out, have they?

Your lame attempt to step on this historic triumph by Libyan rebels is a FAIL.

4. Thirteen Percent Of Libya's Oil Exports Went To China Last Year, Sir
Edited on Thu Oct-20-11 12:45 PM by The Magistrate
The Chinese national oil company was not able to get any real foothold in Libya from Ghaddafi, though it was intimated that supplies of heavy weapons might alter this....

How does voicing concerns about the REAL reason for the war in Libya run counter to any DU rules?

25. Who controlled it before, as he looted hundreds of billions for his family?
Easier for oil companies to deal with dictators than it is with a democratically-elected government.

Big Oil loves them some countries with one-man rule, waaaay easier to bribe.

26. If you think there won't be strings attached to our "assistance"
you're living in an alternate reality. As the OP attempted to point out, big oil lost control of their dictator and made other arrangements.

Now that Obama is in charge war is cool and we kill dictators 24/7 for the oil companies ... when the republicans are back in office this will of course reverse. Thank you for trying to speak the truth despite overwhelming odds given the membership here.
