Biden 2016? VP Says "I'll Make Up My Mind On That Later" |
|
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/10/21/biden_2016_vp_says_ill_make_up_my_mind_on_that_later.htmlJoe Biden would be in his mid 70's in 2016. But if his health remains good, why not? But this comes as a surprise to me. I have assumed all along that Biden was not interested in running in 2016. But according to this he is leaving that possibility open.

Everyone assumes it will be President Christie and VP Rubio in 2016. Joe can change that.

10. I agree. The other day I saw a video of Joe putting a right winger in his place. |
|
It was about the GOP's opposition to providing spending to save the jobs of teachers, firefighters and policemen. Joe took no crap from that guy and gave the guy back more than he could handle. It warmed my heart to see that. Go Joe! You can see the clip at the link if you haven't seen it already. http://www.mediaite.com/online/joe-biden-schools-reporter-asking-about-rape-comments-dont-screw-around-with-me/

I've had enough of the 'centrist' Democrats and their enablers setting the course of the party. We need a strong progressive in 2016. It's time for the left to set the course of the party. The 2012 elections have only just begun and Democrats are already trying to undermine the left for 2016.

If he runs I will support him.I have always liked Biden.I haven't always agreed with him.Unlike some dems he admitted he was wrong on Iraq.I disagreed with him on the bankruptcy bill but he defently Isn't Lieberman,Ben Nelson, and other very centrist Dems.
No one said anything about Dole's age In 1996.Biden will be about that age.
I can't wait to see Biden unleashed against Republican Nominee. He did great for Obama against mccain.

11. Your memory of 1996 may be faulty. |
|
There were 800 major media stories about Dole's age in the '96 campaign. Clinton even brought it up in the Jan, 1996 State of the Union. http://iis-db.stanford.edu/pubs/20624/Bob_Dole%27s_Age_and_Health_in_the_1996_Election.pdf. It addition Biden has had major health issues in the past. I think we can find someone younger.

17. LOL. You predicted the same in 2008. You'll be wrong again in 2012. |
|
And if Joe decides to give it a go in 2016, you'll be wrong about that too.

Obama & Biden to lose the 2012 election...Not sure what "good" they think will come if that happens? I guess they think it will be punishment for not doing whatever it is they wanted done.

12. I like Biden a lot, but only Biden thinks that he could run in 2016. |
|
He is a decent man, but he couldn't muster more than a few votes in 2008. He doesn't poll that great right now and (unfairly) he's somewhat of a national joke.
