The President's Plan to BYPASS CONGRESS is Perfect
Edited on Mon Oct-24-11 07:21 PM by polichick
I'm sorry it came to this, but it's a message that will make clear who is standing in the way of doing the people's work.

Well done!

Edit to add: He'll be using executive orders to help people in this economy - all the tools in his toolbox, so to speak.

(It sure is fun to watch those obstructionist fuckers squirm.)

1. Do tell. How will that be done?
As in the most important things in the AJA: the state aid money to prevent layoffs and the infrastructure spending.

I look forward to you or somebody else telling me how that will be made to happen.

Don't pee in my Wheaties.

2. As I understand it, he'll be using executive orders to do everything he can to help people in...

...this economy.

I've been saying for a long time that he needs to use all the tools in his toolbox and this is a good move.

4. Wouldn't that be nice? I edited the op to add the bit about using exec. orders...
I'm happy to see him using his power - hope he does more of it, in every area.

6. Had he used it early on, he would have been attacked as being a dictator.....
Oh wait.....

Well, he would have been accused of such,
and the Republicons would have had evidence to show.....

So perhaps although the timing would have been perfect if done earlier,
it wouldn't have worked out quite the way some may want to envision now
as to what it would all have looked like then.

7. Well, if he had been tougher with the other side, he probably wouldn't have...
...to do this now. But it is what it is and I'm glad to see him fighting.

9. Be prepared for the RightWing to talk impeachment
they have short memories about what Junior did....

This is why we need President Obama reelected...it's time to get this work done.

10. And Junior had anything but an obstructionist Congress - I wish Dems had been...
...far less accomodating.

In this case, what's left but to use every tool?

11. Yeah, he finally gave up on bipartisanship
As we've all been yelling at him to do for a long ass time. Now, Repubs will pitch a fit (weepy boner anyone?) but he'll have a solid history of trying to work with them, and their bleats will fall a bit flat.

14. That is true the catch is the Dems have to start
posting those blockages and obstructions....so the public knows.

12. 'bout friggen time!
I never understood why he didn't do this before...thought maybe it wasn't "allowed" guess it was just part of his strategy of compromise.

13. Not only is he doing right by the economy, but it's simply good politics.

I see no downside to this for him or the unemployed.
