"We Can't Wait" is a smart strategy.
It's a strategy that not only calls out Congress for inaction, but also advances President Obama's modest initiatives to help home owners, small businesses, students and veterans.

The President is taking ownership of the economy and doing something about it, leaving House Republicans to set up their next scheme.

3. So do you agree with the strategy or did you just stop by to vomit up this talking point?
I think it's a winning plan of action.

4. Yeah,
"must be an election coming up. obama the candidate is back"

...apparently some people didn't see this day coming and didn't anticipate that, in order to win re-election, the President would have to campaign.

8. so let me get this straight
speeches and campaigning during campaign season is frowned upon.

Actually taking action and making decision to help the public and businesses, during campaign season, is also frowned upon?

Gawd this is getting ridiculous.

2. so up until now we've been waiting?
I'm not criticizing Obama, I hope he takes action and reaps political gain for improving the economy. But given all the strident insistence that Obama has been doing everything he can, if it weren't for the GOP blocking him, I'm sure the same question that comes to my mind is occurring to other people, "if he can do these things now, on his own, why didn't he do them earlier?"

6. Well,
"so up until now we've been waiting? I'm not criticizing Obama, I hope he takes action and reaps political gain for improving the economy."

...it seems he expected Congress to do its job. By no measure is the effort by the President the same as bold action by Congress. I mean, they could pass the President's jobs proposal, Lautenberg's bill or the Progressive Caucus' proposals.

10. I'm sure the right wing will try to co-opt "We can't wait"
The right's idea of "We can't wait" (warning: satire)

We can't wait to kick everybody out of their homes using forged foreclosure notices.

We can't wait to tax the poor into the poorhouse to make the 1% even richer.

We can't wait to stick the American taxpayer with a debt worth 10 times the money in circulation.

We can't wait to install a fascist police state.

We can't wait to reinstate debtor's prison.

We can't wait to turn the 99% against one another.

We can't wait to bring back slavery.

:sarcasm:

12. It is a non-strategy. Acknowledges the work left undone, how far he's fallen short.
It's great that he's "taking ownership of the economy" now, (after being forced to by low polling numbers) but that doesn't make up for his lack of leadership there up until now, something underscored by this theme.

I never thought I'd post this, but I actually liked "It Begins With Us" a little better.
