15. Its been a threat since 1973 when Nixon appointed Rehnquist and Burger....(I was in college)

but never as threatened as it is today. The next administration will likely get 1-3 picks-decades of gradual social progress could be wiped out in a decision or two. Abortion, gay rights, privacy are already precarious, a couple more like Alito and its all over.

I'm 57, settled and retired and it won't affect me much. Its you younger guys that I feel empathy for. You guys will live with this for the next 50 years.

11. I would like to see a concerted

effort to have a OWS based takeover of the legislative bodies of at least 2/3rds of the states with the goal of forcing a amendment-proposing constitutional convention which will propose one or more amendments to get rid of corporate personhood and radically reform campaign finance.

According to Article V, Congress must call for an amendment-proposing convention, “on the application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States”, and therefore 34 state legislatures would have to submit applications. Once an Article V convention has proposed amendments, then each of those amendments would have to be ratified by three-fourths of the states (i.e. 38 states) in order to become part of the Constitution.


Because the reality is - Congress won't do it.

I think we need to adopt the strategies of right-wing ... start locally. This will also be more protective of women's rights and gay rights.

We need a progressive candidate in EVERY race in EVERY state!

If we can use the same strategies to take over Congress as well, great! But I think we need to take over the states.

18. I want a majority of Democrats in all of congress, where the GOP have

like 10 members left at most. I want to see all Tea Party house and senate members booted from office in 2012.

As for those Democrats in the majority, I would like them as progressive as possible (under the geographical circumstances), and for any Blue dog Democrats that remain to get with the program of helping the nation by supporting progressive legislation.

Further, I would love to see OWS members run for congress as Democrats in every state....and for them to get to congress and push to enact the legislation that would satisfy OWS demands nationwide.

17. All progressive blogs should go back to basics

remember the 04/06 campaign when we took back the House and senate, ok well, this time the
goal should be super majority in both houses. If we give the president a super majority
there is no reason why he can't pass bills that would benefit millions of Americans.

It is obvious what is needed but an email will do the trick.
