next year. That's my opinion I frankly I'm sick of Max the man making deals to suit the rethugs. We need to start recruiting real Progressives to primary these Corporate Democrats http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/26/medicare-eligibility-age-_n_1033097.html

3. This contradicts the title of the article! |
|
"The presentation produced by Baucus does not call for a raising of the Medicare eligibility age. The idea of increasing that age from 65 to 67 had been a controversial component of talks that President Barack Obama and House Speaker John Boehner had held in late August when negotiating legislation to raise the nation's debt ceiling. Only the super rich can fund and win campaigns now. Citizens United ensured the permanent iron curtain of plutocracy in this country.

8. History will just repeat itself. |
|
The grip of plutocracy on this country (and most of the world) is so severe that we will eventually repeat the French and Russian revolutions. In fact, I believe that World War 3 will not be a war between countries, but a worldwide revolution against the plutocrats of the world. It's already happened in Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya, and it's spreading.

14. That makes some sense. But, I can't imagine how that would actually |
|
materialize in the U.S. I believe that the American military and police would side with the Central gvt.
Not much chance for a revolution there.

10. There is a damn good reason to yell |
|
This part:
"The bad is that the plan calls for around $400 billion in Medicare savings, half of which would be drawn from reducing benefits to recipients. The confusion stems from the party's willingness to shoot far above the $1.5 trillion target that the super committee is supposed to aim for."
Now personally, I have a real fucking problem with that.

11. It would be if it was confirmed. At this point, those are rumors without details. |
|
I guess the media are always correct. Given the corporate nature of the media, it always amazes me when people take what they write as gospel.

15. The article itself says this: |
|
A Democrat aide cautioned that Baucus-led presentation was not a formal proposal and that it was backed by only a "majority of Democrats."
This -- along with a reuters article I read, is pure specualtion. Sam Stein (the author of the article) has basically said as much.
I will wait and see -- just like you.

Please, they will be lucky if 2012 is not a repeat of 2008, but in reverse.

It's not a formal proposal. Someone is leaking this, to get a feel for what people think, and I say YES, call up and tell people what you think.
Right now this is not a formal proposal.
