4. Kick because no one seems to care
I am mystified about why 'good news' threads never attract any attention, while any 'bad news' (whether real or not, no matter how piffling or localized) attracts hundreds of posts.

It's like there's mass personality disorder.

5. That's because, much like the GOP, some are actually rooting for failure. (nt)

6. we're in an economic emergency, and the government isn't doing nearly enough
the more complacent we are, the less pressure on them to act.

We need to keep screaming "not good enough!" because that is the truth. It is not nearly good enough for too many people.

10. Yes.
You're correct of course but unfortunately I'm unemployed and every cent is precious to me right now. On top of a donation I often feel like I should be paying some kind of fine for DU having to put up with me. lol

Better times are ahead...I can feel it.

11. Stimulus
This is a result of the stimulus, it's still no all spent and we are seeing real results finally. It takes a few years for something like that to realze its full effect. Obama has done a lot to help the economy, Republicans have fought tooth and nail to hurt the economy. Obama may have done just enough to get this economy moving enough in 2012.
