Want to write for the Obama campaign?
(An email I received today. Any DUers need work?)
________________________________

The Obama campaign is looking for talented writers to join our digital team
in Chicago.

This is the team that wrote, set up, and hit send on this email. Then we
tweeted about it and put up a post on Facebook. We thought about
texting you, too, but we didn't want to go overboard.

This is also the team responsible for the campaign's website copy and a lot
of the language for materials that are handed out in communities across the
country.

The positions we're looking to fill require the ability to write at a high level
and think strategically and creatively in a campaign environment, often on
tight deadlines. (It doesn't hurt to have a working knowledge of HTML, too.)

That writer might be you, or it might be someone you know -- a colleague or
a friend. Find out more, then apply or pass it on today:

http://my.barackobama.com/Be-an-OFA-Writer

This is a campaign, so the hours can be very long. But, exhausting as it might
be, this job will be one of the most incredible and fulfilling professional
experiences you will ever have.

The digital team is made up of some of the hardest-working people in politics.
That's because we're always trying out new things and innovative ways to build
this campaign -- and that takes time. We share a commitment to doing everything
we can to re-elect the President, and having some fun while we're at it.

If you or someone you know would be a great fit, apply or pass on the link:

http://my.barackobama.com/Be-an-OFA-Writer

Looking forward to hearing from you.

You have a a good grasp on the issues, etc.

My current financial situation is a bit dodgy at the moment, so that's weighing on me as well. But I'll see what I can do.

and misdirected anger.

6. A question was asked
and an answer given. Any problem with that answer is yours and yours alone and just whom are you to decide or infer my mindset or "misdirection" behind my one word answer?

11. It's a real job you know
This isn't volunteer shit, it's a paid position. I thought everyone wanted jobs. Now you're dismissing them out of hand. Picky, picky.

12. You are responding to a whole lot of words
in my posting that simply don't exist.

The response to the question asked was "No" .

It appears that you are projecting what you believe my reasoning for that response and responding to what you want to believe I said..

Perhaps I am not a good writer, Perhaps I don't have the time, Perhaps I don't like the candidate, Perhaps I have a job already, Perhaps I simply don't want this position,

If you want the job then apply for it, my response to the question has been given.

14. I figured there was no reason to respond unless
Your reason was: you don't like the candidate. Whence my arch reply.

"No" is not a helpful response, and it certainly wasn't a necessary one if you simply didn't want or need the job.

15. No, is not a "helpful" response?
It is somehow up to you to judge just what is and is not helpful?

In fact No, is simply No and nothing more if you have chosen to put more words into my response, those are Your words not mine.

I find it amazing that you can read my mind as to how I feel about the candidate, you must be pretty good.

16. No
It really isn't. "No, because ... " is helpful. Plain "no" is not.

23. Pass this along: "I will not seek"
I will not seek
and I will not accept
the nomination of my Party
for the Presidency of the United States of America.

These are words I dream of hearing in a speech from President Obama. We need a Democrat with SPINE, not a Conciliator-in-Chief, nor Capitulator-in-Chief. Grow a backbone, Mr. President, or slip quietly into history, the choice is yours.

30. What good would having a Progressive Congress do if the top man is Corporate Dem???
Which Obama has proven that he is.

How many tax cuts did he give to the rich and to corporations??? How many did Reagan give? How many did Bush I give? How many from "Dubya?"

The truth is that President Obama is a dyed in the wool Corporatist and that is who he will always be. You may not choose to believe it. You are free to believe whatever you wish.

Last question: Who did he bail out? The homeowners who got ripped off by unscrupulous loans and ripoff bank practices, or did he bail out the banks. I think you know the answer to that question.
