No way did this come from the Dems. Surely they're smart enough to hold this until Cain is for sure the nominee.
I suspect the GOP has decided they've gotten what they wanted out of him and are ready to get him out of the running. They used him and he used them, but it was never Rove's intention to let this buffoon win anything. The voters don't decide this thing. The nominee is preordained. And it ain't Herman Cain and never was. He'll be fine, he's richer and he's had a blast.
