2. Apparently so. That's the headline they used on their front page too.

9. Yes, it is. And I do NOT like it either.
I grew up in a time when we were taught that when referring to a president you were supposed to say: President 'so and so'.
It bothers me big time when I turned on FoxNews and they just say "Obama" or "Barack Obama" or Mr. Obama - I'm usually hollering at the TV yelling: SAY PRESIDENT Obama goddamn it!!! :)

friend of the President.

10. It is definitely derogatory. It is an abbreviation for bamboozle...
and is synonymous with deceit.

(v) To take in by elaborate methods of deceit; hoodwink. Other forms bamboozles, bamboozled, bamboozling.

(n) bamboozler, (n) bamboozlement.

11. No. It is an abreviation for oBAMa
just like they call the football team of University of Alabama - BAMA

13. I'll respectfully disagree.
Don't they say it with a short "a" sound instead of it sounding more like a short "o"? I've also seen the use of the word bamboozler on so many RW Websites, that I lean towards that being the origin of the word.

Could it be that Republicans stole the term from Emeril Lagasse?

15. Maybe if he's your best friend it'd be okay to have your pet
name for him, but this seems inappropriate to me somehow. But thanks for clearing it up. :hi:

6. Yes, from the same jerk (Halperin) who called POTUS a "dick" on Morning Joe.
Disrespectful twit, that one.

4. Omaha, Houston and Phoenix
I think he is testing the waters about Arizona. Especially that poll last week that showed him with a small lead. He'll have the money to give it a try.

I guess he wants to make a play for that one Omaha electoral vote again? Nebraska has a district electoral vote system.

I can't figure out the Houston thing. Is he really going to try to put Texas on the table? Or at least make the Republicans earn it.

5. Well in 2008 ....
Edited on Tue Nov-01-11 01:36 AM by Tx4obama

Obama won all of our largest cities/counties in Texas: Dallas/Dallas, Houston/Harris, Austin/Travis, El Paso, San Antonio, etc.
(except McCain won Ft. Worth)

It is very feasible that Obama could win Texas.
There aren't that many folks down here that like Perry, and if he is out of the race (due to his 'drunken' speech in NH) and the general election ends up to be between Obama & Romney - Obama would have a great chance of putting Texas' electoral votes in his win column.

There are a hell of a lot more Democrats in Texas than most people realize :)

Edited to add ...

Texas 2008 presidential election vote tally

Obama 3,528,633
McCain 4,479,328

margin was -11.76
that is less than a lot of the other red states
See the chart here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008_Presidential_Election
halfway down the page - look at the margins of the states McCain won.
