I think it would be really nice if they could manage to find a candidate that was still in touch with something that resembled sanity.

5. +1. A European friend of mine says politics in America these days |
|
seems to be about two forces - destructive or constructive. The liberals are trying to make America better and stop the damage the conservatives are doing, where the conservatives seem to just want Armageddon, seem to want the entire country to just burn down I guess.
It's really scary that such a large chunk of our population is insane enough to vote for any one of these candidates.
I wish I could move away.

my husband wishes we could go to canada but we can't afford it, we are retired and unless you have money you can't live there then full time. I don't blame them one bit because of health care.

6. I voted Rick Perry, because ... |
|
... he has a an actual shot at the GOP nomination but little or no chance of beating Obama. If another dipshit moron governor from texas attracts enough votes for the setealing of another presidential election, there is no hope left for this country anyway.
Romney is the only candidate I fear, because he's positioned himself to grab some moderates & indpendents (he's done this by taking both sides of almost every issue, but that might not be enough to defeat him).

For pure entertainment and belly laughs, I would go with Bachmann.
To support the idea that intelligence is important, that would be a Perry nominee.
Something more intellectual and to get people actually thinking about gov't role, citizenry and protection, Paul.
But in the final analysis, and because so many of us have so little to laugh about, and because I haven't seen a great comedy in a long time, I'd have to go with Bachmann.
