Fun Poll - Obama (D). Romney (R) or Paul (Libertarian)
Here's a fun poll that envisions a three-way race in November of 2012.

http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/10758669-punditty-poll-obama-d-romney-r-or-paul-libertarian-how-would-you-vote-in-2012

The poll is open through Nov. 6...vote and spread the word. Ron Paul is winning the poll so it is time for some Democrats to be heard!

1. So few people have voted that a few DUers can move the needle.

2. Just goes to prove that Paul has a huge internet presence. Even here.

4. allvoices
You can also click in the 2nd paragraph of the Allvoices report, where it says "VOTE HERE."

http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/10758669-punditty-poll-obama-d-romney-r-or-paul-libertarian-how-would-you-vote-in-2012

As someone who gets paid by Allvoices based on the number of views, I would appreciate it. I am a former editor for a major metropolitan daily who lost his job (after working there 10 years!) under Bush. Now I am trying to add quality content (as opposed to "filler" content we so often see) to the Internet Universe.

Strangely, I posted the link on Mitt Romney's Facebook page last night and as of now, no one has voted for Romney! That is weird.

I also wrote an analysis of why I think Paul would seriously consider running as a Libertarian in the Allvoices link. All views (and votes) are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Punditty (a John F. Kennedy Democrat, thank you very much!)

6. thoughts on 2012
I think Obama has a good chance of winning re-election whether it is just Romney or both Paul and Romney in November of 2012, and I don't think Paul is going to "just go away" if he fails to win the GOP nomination.

The strange thing about this poll, though, is that Romney is getting NO SUPPORT. As I noted earlier, the poll was posted on Romney's Facebook Wall. Maybe it's been overlooked there.

And remember, it is just a "fun" poll, nothing scientific. But since an ABC News blog was reporting on the Libertarians wooing Paul, I thought this would be a good "snapshot" poll.

Cheers!

5. No!
For goodness sakes let Ron Paul win this, and every, online poll. The more of these kinds of things he wins the more likely he'll be to enter the race as a Libertarian.

Ron Paul in as a third party candidate can only help President Obama.

7. I wouldn't be so sure
I know a ton of people who voted for Obama in 2008 who would vote for Paul now because they are not happy with Obama and the idea of a R-type in the White House is too horrifying to contemplate. (Especially given the R-types we are seeing on the R-debate platforms right now.)

9. If it were Obama vs. Romney
And the economy is the same as today (or worse), and Obama has a 40% approval rating and trailing Romney heads-up...

Let's say Paul runs as an indy. Can it go something like this:

Obama: 44%
Romney: 43%
Paul: 12%
Others: 1%

Of course, with just a 1% differential, Electoral Votes could still come into play.
