Cain's Predicament: Between a Rock and a Confidentiality Agreement
Edited on Wed Nov-02-11 11:46 AM by skip fox
The question has now become why Cain and/or The Restaurant Association won't release Jane Doe from the confidentiality agreement? If Cain says she shouldn't be released then he's really exposed and he knows it (which is why he is trying to duck the question). If The Restaurant Association declines to release her they will be barraged with those asking for a reason. What can it be? I cannot think of a credible reason.

And the question will become increasingly shrill until answered. No one will be able to stonewall.

But perhaps more to the point, Cain is now adamant that he did not break the agreement (since he didn't name the woman), clearly because he is frightened that she might legitimately/legally abandon the agreement and talk, which indicates that what he knows what she'll say will sink his candidacy.

AND the fact that her settlement was a year's salary ($35,000) indicates that she probably had a very good case.

In the end she'll speak (someone might even pay the penalty for breaking the agreement) and Cain will drop out. Could even be by end of week. I cannot imagine him lasting to the end of next week.

The Tea Nuts love Cain and hate sexual harassment laws. I love it. They are leading the GOP off the proverbial cliff.

3. Looking at this latest Quinnipiac poll
Cain is polling at 30%, Romney at 23%, Perry at 10%.
I don't think he will drop out any time soon.

4. If he can speak without naming her, then he can release all the documents

redacted to withhold identifying information. That should solve the problem.

7. CAIIN JUST CANCELED A SCHEDULED PRESS CONFERENCE
We've seen this same type of scenario happen over and over.

This canceling is the beginning of the end. (Or maybe it's middle.)

9. With everybody kowing that the Republicans set up Weiner
for early retirement. They really can't push back very hard in situations where something actually did happen.

All Weiner did was take pictures. And the Republicans admit they basically ciber stalked him.

So Cain will likely be cut loose just like Palin and her menage a several dozen not to mention her pimp husband.
