Creator of the "public option" still backs current health care bill even though it was eliminated |
|
Public Option Creator Backs Bill Jacob Hacker, the intellectual father of the "public option" -- now eliminated from the health care reform bill -- writes that it would "be tempting for me to side with Howard Dean and other progressive critics who say that health care reform should now be killed. It would be tempting, but it would be wrong." http://politicalwire.com/archives/2009/12/21/public_option_creator_backs_bill.html?utm_medium=pwire.us-twitter&utm_source=direct-pwire.us&utm_content=site-basic

3. Oh, but Marcos and Jane Hamsher know better than the preeminent expert ... |

on health care policy in the nation. God, sometimes the left is so self-destructive. They'd rather have nothing and promise you a pipedream of a better afterlife.

4. Howard isn't saying "kill health care reform" |
|
he is saying "kill this bill", and do something different, like simply expand Medicare to more people, using reconciliation.
We'll revisit Insurance reform at a later date, perhaps with a new "Patient Bill of Rights".
