We're all accusing each other of acting like Republicans.. GOP Underground?
Edited on Tue Dec-22-09 03:54 PM by Armstead
Just saying if you are critical of this bill you are called a Republican conservative Teabagger.

If you are supporting this bill you are called a corporate Republican.

Maybe we ought to just rename the place GOP Underground.

Or maybe a better idea is to stop acting like damn Republicans and actually debate (argue about) the issues without these back and forth meaningless personal snipes and characterizations.

(and yes I'm guilty of it too.)

3. People act immature and like babies when they cannot control the events around them.
I guess it is simple human nature but we are very un-evolved as humans.

11. Lack of control contributes to anger and depression
which then spreads like a virus through nearly every thread. Why don't I just stop being here? I'm addicted to chaos.

14. I was off for a long time, days. It was contributing to my mental health
being majorly sucky. I suffer from depression to begin with. And I have a psych degree. The world is not ending tomorrow though some want to think so. Disappointment is okay to feel but some don't know how to handle it properly.

Intellectually one knows that rubbing it with the tongue only irritates it and makes the pain worse.

But somehow....just....can't...stop....doing....it.

12. I considered it, but
even though I disagree with you on the bill I thought your posts were some of the more sane ones here lately from that point of view, though I realize that may not be much of a compliment.

17. It's not the disagreements with legislation that has me thinking DU
is becoming FR-lite. It's the disgusting venom towards Obama. The venom over here is even worse than the venom over there.

20. I agree with you here.
I have a few pet peeves with the talking points used on both sides but mostly the anti-health care side. As most of you know, I have a lot of experience dealing with people who use red-herrings and various other logical fallacies and portray them as honest debate. Its hard enough dealing with those things in a 5-20 minute segment (hard=afterwards, I find a quiet place and scream for a few seconds, then I'm ok). It used to be nice to mostly escape from that into Democratic discussion forums.

21. Some talkjing points about issues are probably inevitable...But when it gets personal

"You're acting like a Republican."

"No YOU'RE acting like a Republican."

"Well your're a bigger republican you poo-poo..."

and then it gets worse.
