Meanwhile, Obama goes as far as saying he didn't campaign on it. People who called Lieberman a liar for his comments were acting as if the public option was something Obama really wanted.

What makes you guys think that Lieberman was lying about Obama not pressing him on something Obama barely cares about? The truth is that we were not there, so we don't know if Lieberman told the truth or not. But Obama's actions makes me believe Judas on this one.

Obama's point is that he promised healthcare reform, not public insurance. Not getting everything he wanted does not constitute a failure of the reforms.
