Look! It's Joe Lieberman!

He is going to vote for the Healthcare Bill.

Do you want to associate your stance on the Senate healthcare reform bill with a person who has been a ceaseless proponent of causing the premature death of one million human beings in Iraq? A person who wants to use nuclear bunker-busters on Iran?

What's that you say... my argument is a really creepy sort of guilt by association... an attempt to smear everyone on one side of a contentious issue as an immoral war-monger just because I disagree with them on a different policy issue?

Well, if you put it that way... yeah, you're right. It is a disgusting tactic.

But when did that ever stop anyone?

1. Not Even In The Same Galaxy
"The left-right coalition sent a letter to members of the Senate today includes Campaign for America's Future co-director Robert Borosage, Americans for Taxpayer Reform president Grover Norquist, FireDogLake blogger Jane Hamsher, Eagle Forum president Phyllis Schlafly Campaign for Liberty president John Tate and Center for Economic and Policy Research president Dean Baker."

2. Good point. Well said. n/t

Kill the bill.

Forcing people to buy insurance is no more the answer to a failed health care system than forcing people to buy houses is the solution to homelessness.

4.  Andrew Sullivan, a favorite of Obama supporters, included

excerpts from the racist book, The Bell Curve, in the New Republic when he was an editor in the '90's. You know, the book that claims African Americans were plagued with inherently inferior intelligience. I am wondering if those folks who RIGHTLY condemn Jane Hamsher for the blackface still want to "associate" with Andrew Sullivan, one of their pundit heroes.

Andy says: "The notion that there might be resilient ethnic differences in intelligence is not, we believe, an inherently racist belief."
