3. I don't hate my cats, but they don't seem to understand my wishes...

And my wishes are, after all, paramount.

My cats won't give me the time of day. They'll piss in the middle of the living room floor like it's their cat box if theirs isn't cleaned EVERY MORNING. BOTH OF THEM! They act as if I owe them something. If I could catch them, I'd wring their necks for that...

My dogs on the other hand are both loving and more than happy to see me. Why, sometimes when I come home after an absence of an hour or two, they're so happy to see me that they pee in the middle of the living room while I'm petting them. They're so cute that way!

seriously, though, after the amazing job he has done for us on hcr--what do you think the chances are of anything truly substantive happening on glbt issues with him?

8. On that issue, I can only tell you what my 18 year old daughter has to say...

She's gay, and in all honestly, I'd never considered how hard it is to be "out". Apologies to all my GLBT friends; I was blind because I didn't have skin in the game.

She's a high school senior, proudly out, and not happy at all about having GLBT issues put on the back burner. She lobbied me on Prop H8te, lobbied me on my vote in the GE, has asked me to sign I don't know how many petitions supporting the repeal of Prop H8te, and she marched with Prop H8te supporters last November.

If DADT and DOMA aren't relegated to the trash heap of history by election day in 2012, and President Obama is the Democratic nominee once again, he won't get her vote.
