1. Final passage?
Won't there be additional votes in each house after (if) the conference committee merges the two bills?

2. He'll probably preside over that too.
I guess he'll be there as a "just in case" for the 51st vote.

3. Final passage...of the Senate bill.
Correct. It will be blended with the House bill in conference. I guess, after that, the vote will be for final final passage.

13. Thanks for that Bloo..
It only took a Perfect Storm of getting Obama elected and everything else that came together to make this foundation for Health Care happen..as imperfect as it is.

6. Darn you Obama! Darn you Biden!!!!
Friends had asked me if I was dedicated enough to stay up until 1am watching the Senate ..... I told them that required no dedication on my part as I'm usually up until 2am.

I do NOT, however, usually get up at 6am ...... I had about decided to sleep through it but ..... NOOOOO ...... now I gotta get up at 6:45 in order to watch the sexiest Senate presider in history!!!

ugh!!!!! These people!!!!

9. It's not the same.....
.... I wanna be IN the moment when it's happening ..... seeing what happens when it happens at the exact MOMENT it happens ..... after the 30 second delay. :)

19. It's even earlier here in Oregon. It's a beginning. I'm always
in favor of beginnings. I was once a beginning, in fact.

7. Why? Why are they bringing him in? Are they thinking they may need his vote?

10. To make a public show of tying the admin to the bill...
..... now that it's looking extremly likely that a final bill will come out of this whole thing, they no longer have to do they hands-off thing (which they weren't going to do because of the Clinton health bill fiasco.)

Nothing wrong with that, it's politics.

Biden could also be there for insurance I suppose.

21. He visited the cloak room a couple of weeks ago (I don't remember why). I was watching some
floor debate when suddenly I heard this LOUD UPROAR of cheering and shouting. Whoever was speaking at the time stopped and turned around. It was later that I learned Joe was there. You gotta know he just loves hanging out at his old stomping grounds with his old buddies. Good for Joe. I'm tickled.
