And oh, by the way, the number of new jobless claimed dropped again.
.... to the lowest level since September 2008. While the first two weeks of December weren't as good as I would have liked to have seen, here's hoping we'll end the month on a high note ... or a low note rather. :)

14. nope, sorry
I"m thinking of when they claimed jobs losses had slowed and then had to admit they'd actually sped up.

I'm not the one using my imagination at this point, sadly.

nothing but sharply down since May. You cannot deny that and I dare you to try.

3. Sorry little Doom and Gloomer - SALES are UP
If your a short seller - YOU LOOSE

Dec. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Retail sales and consumer confidence in the U.S. increased more than forecast, indicating that economic growth is picking up as the new year approaches.

Sales climbed 1.3 percent in November, more than double the 0.6 percent median estimate in a Bloomberg survey of economists, a Commerce Department report showed today. The Reuters/University of Michigan preliminary index of consumer sentiment for December rose to 73.4 from 67.4 the month before.

Retail sales of new cars and trucks in Dallas-Fort Worth in November increased 5 percent over the same month a year ago, according to monthly registration data compiled by Freeman Publishers of Dallas.

gain. The more confidence they gain, the more they spend. It's a no-brainer, really.

.... which I doubt has EVER happened in the 10 years I've worked for the company. (Again, we are not typical of retail stores and December is typically our SLOWEST month.)

But I tell you one thing, if Obama doesn't DO something about the traffic around the mall that has been in logjam mode since mid November I am NOT voting for him in 2011!!!! We did NOT have traffic like this when the GOP was in office!!! I dont want a pony!!! I want a helicopter! lol :)

The company I work for grew 103% last year. Things have been getting better, and if this upswing keep rolling, it might even be better than the late 90's...

..hopefully without the bubble part.
