Republican Meme for Next Few Weeks: Death Panels and Payoffs |
|
Now, according to leaders Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh, "death panels" is just a metaphor for advisory boards who will cut off medicare coverage to save costs.
AND - from what I've heard this morning, Senate Republicans are insisting they tried to play ball but were turned away. They are angry that Harry Reid bought the votes of Democratic Senators - "a million here, a couple million there".
Until conference convenes and Obama signs a merged bill, the Republican cacophony of crap will probably reach the same hysterical level it did in August, with death panels and paying for votes the main talking points.
The Republicans gambled and lost big but that doesn't mean they're going to shut up. Should be fun!

1. The futures on the phrase "sweetheart deals" are through the roof. |

You'll hear THAT bit of astroturf early and often from GOP mouthpieces in the next few weeks until final passage. And beyond.

3. Republicans were nothing but "slow down, you move too fast" |
|
And they're definitely not looking for fun or feeling groovy.
