Why can't we have a "singles" forum? |
|
For single DU members wanting to meet like-minded democratic progressives. I would volunteer to be the moderator.

1. Have we rejected this idea in the past? |
|
The way you frame your question seems to suggest that we did.

2. I believe you have, but I am not 100% sure. |

I remember a few years ago there was interest in such a forum. So are you saying that a singles forum would be favorably considered if there was interest?

I'm all in favor of single libs getting together. But we wouldn't want DU to have an AOL-style flirt chatroom. So I guess it all depends on how it's done.

4. I don't know anything about an AOL-style flirt chatroom |
|
because I've stayed away from them. I'm just imagining a singles forum that is mature and respectful. I lost my partner of 17 years suddenly in February and would love to meet another progressive even if it's just for friendship and hanging out together. I'm currently living in the UK but will be back in the states. Maybe I trust DU too much, but I wouldn't want to meet up with any other internet single.
