Streamlining "hide thread" |
|
This is a minor complaint, but I wanted your input. Occasionally, when there is a dustup in GD or the Lounge about something or other, there are 45 different threads on the front page that I want to hide. Well, for each one, I have to click the x, then click back to forum listing, etc, etc. Is there any way to hide multiple threads at once, or at least not take you to another page after the click? It would make hiding threads a much more reflexive move for me, and perhaps other people, and might reduce extra-thread grief during flame wars.
Just a thought.

1. I like the idea in principle |

Unfortunately this would be quite a bit of work and we have a lot of other projects on our to-do list...
I have a suggestion though: if you're using a browser with tabs (most modern browsers use tabs) then there's something you can do that might be quicker for you than clicking each x, going to the confirmation page, and then backing up. Instead, right-click each x and select "open in new tab" -- you'll stay on the Latest page, and the confirmation page will open in a new tab each time. When you're done, just close all the new tabs, then refresh the Latest page.

2. thanks for the suggestion |

I use tabs constantly, but didn't realize that right clicking the x would execute it. Some sites are weird about stuff like that
I know it's a huge project to do, and considering everything else that is needed in terms of upkeep and moderation here (not to mention whining over any change to anything) i can understand it being low on the list
