Why lock the In Truth We Trust thread???? |
|
NOBODY advocated violence. It was a good discussion on the POTENTIAL for political violence and how it could come about. As an activist, I want to KNOW what to look out for, so I can be prepared. And as I said, NOBODY was actually advocating violence.

2. OK, I found it. One of the moderators gave me the link. |

We don't typically give much leeway for posts advocating violence. In fact, we don't even like to get close to the line.
This part gets pretty close to the line, and might actually cross it: "30 years of class warfare engaged by the rich and powerful upon the working class without any retribution is ENOUGH"
If one thinks 30 years without a violent response is "enough" then I think it is reasonable to infer that the poster is open to the idea of a violent response.

3. OK. I guess I could see that point............. |

although it sounds a lot like self defense to me. Unfortunately in today's political climate, violence seems to be simmering just below the surface with occasional bubbling over. Of course, it's all right wing violence against the left. It will be hard to discuss self defense RE: these incidents, past and future, without talking about violence though.
Thanks for the answer.
