Times must be hard in FReeperville
the latest FReepathon is underway, and the quarterly target has risen to $92,000. That's up from the $88k target of the last one and the $80k target of previous ones last year.

Perhaps the squirrels who power the servers have unionized?

1. Is there ever NOT a Freepathon underway?
Every time I visit that site, they seem to be asking for money.

3. Quarterly target is $92k? Seriously?
I don't think the NY Times spends that much a quarter.

Damn.

6. Yes
and of course after it runs for about 3 1/2 months with modest success, RimJob will then be forced to add in the regular monthly contributions, claiming a huge fund raising success!

9. I had no idea. That is outrageous.
More credibility to the Faux leads to stupidity study.

How on earth can these people believe that a site not updated since 1995 needs ~$370k a year to operate?

17. The 88K target jump[s out at me. It's the Neonazi code number for "Heill, Hitler"
Coincidence?

Be assured that the FR owner knows this.

10. Rimjob knows how to fleece his lackeys. The cost of running that site does not go up that much.
If at all.

Freepers are suckers.

12. I'm pretty sure the FReepers know they aren't paying merely for the cost of
maintaining the site; they're paying for companionship and support in their insanity. I know when I donate I think about the good the site has done not only me but the Democratic cause, not so much the operating costs. In the case of the FReepers, better an annual contribution than the price of a weekly visit to the shrink. :P
