SAMHSA: Drug abuse treatment admissions for opiates increase in every state
An earlier SAMHSA report revealed that admission rates for abuse of opiates other than heroin -- including some prescription painkillers such as Oxycontin -- rose by 345 percent from 1998-2008. The new report says admission rates for painkiller abuse rose in every part of the country and were highest in the New England states (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont) and in Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee.

1. The "media" is nowhere. It's pharma, after all.
Oxy never went away, just the reporting on it.

It's all so simple, really.

2. and NY State may be CLOSING clinics to help the addicts
My bro is a counselor in a NYC addiction center and they are all waiting to hear if and when Andrew Cuomo is going to start closing the centers, because of the budget problems.

Abuse is up, but the centers are in the crosshairs -- wtf???

4. just what are these elites going to do when they've cut it all?
Seriously, these centers are down to virtually one per borough. What are they going to do then? Tie cement blocks to the addicts and drop them in the Hudson?
