So cal watch out.
Another front comming in. Remember ground is pretty soaked (saturated) so local flooding in usual places is to be expected. Oh and the skies already look gray out there.

1. They are gray in my neighborhood, about 15 miles North of Mission Valley ...
Edited on Sun Jan-02-11 06:35 PM by Ozymanithrax
I took a walk along Poway Creek today. Normally, it is, a most, 15 feet across and three feet deep. Water was running 15 feet in places above the normal level by the stuff left behind, and must have been 60 feet wide.

Several of the older house down closer to the creek appear to have flooded.

On a positive note, Lake Hodges, between Rancho Bernardo and Escondido, has almost doubled in size in the last two weeks.

2. It's been snowing here for a couple hours
Something that's very rare here in the Antelope Valley, at only 2,000 feet. But the neighborhood kids are having a ball! :)

3. West SF Valley - pouring down a little while ago
Slacked off to drizzle now, at 3:50 in the afternoon.

Naturally, the worst downpour came when I had to go out and run some errands...

But I'm not complaining! I spent Xmas on the East Coast - Upstate South Carolina. On the day I left, Tuesday 12/28, it was 14 degrees with snow still on the ground. The area had its first "White Xmas" since 1963. The timing was a little off; it started snowing on Xmas Day and continued thru the 26th.
