Soros, Buffett, Gates etc. could simply buy the Fox network and retire Mr. Murdoch.

And any attempt to buy up the stock is only going to send it soaring once it gets even close to majority control.

2. Even so. Between 'em that crew could come up with 20-30 billion from pocket change.

And they wouldn't have to shut it down, just fire the top 20 managers and institute new rules for on-air talent (a simple ban on bald-faced lying would probably do it).

As the mouth-breathers started noticing that the red meat ration was way down, they'd likely abandon the network (although for what, I'm not sure. It's not as if they'd start reading or anything).

So yes, News Corp would take a hit. But who cares if it lost half its value and turned into a news corporation again? It'd still make money following downsizing.

But hey we need to explore new ideas, because Fox is appealing to the reptilian fear based brain, and shutting down real thought.

7. For consideration:

The NRA is a major source of funds for the Repukes. If every Dem/Liberal/Lefty were to become members of the NRA, we could tip the balance and overwhelmingly vote in Dem NRA leaders. They in turn would shut down the money flow, severely hurting Repukes' campaigning ability. Fox would be unable to attack the NRA for doing this because, well, because it's the NRA. After that we can work on a stealthy take over of Fox. It would be a little cruel to cut it off quickly - that would be like forcing an addict to quit cold turkey. I would worry that too many of them might actually commit suicide if we took away their Fox too quickly.

I know that this won't work in practice, but it's just a thought.
