1. Those of us with any brains at all knew this was going to be the case.
Yep, this is what you get when you protect sleazy corruptible criminal government officials under the guise of national security or protecting the "executive" branch.

3. On the offensive, instead of where they should be by now,
defending themselves from all the criminal charges that were never filed, because 'it would waste valuable time we need to spend doing more important things'.

Bet Republicans never worry about that. They didn't worry about when they spent millions of dollars and years going after Clinton.

Is there something collectively wrong with the Democratic Party? Are they seriously suffering from kind of Stockholm Syndrome or are they just masachistic, or maybe it's fear? Have they been threatened? I read today that Conyers' wife was accused of theft while he was investigating the U.S. Attorney firings after which those hearings sort of fizzled. Is this why they won't stand up to War Criminals and Corrupt, Wall St. Bankers?

7. Obama deserves this lesson.
If you don't put on a strong offense, you'll be stuck playing defense.

just have to hold someone accountable.

11. Expected this
I remember saying over a year ago that if Republicans got control of the House, they would launch a stack of hostile investigations of the Obama admin and impeach him on the first pretext they can find (or invent).

17. They learned their lesson in 1998
They won't go after Obama directly, but will have hearings and investigations to "pick off" members of his supporting cast. I am betting on Holder being forced to resign somewhere along the way.

16. It serves them right.
I won't say I feel sorry for them. They have it coming. They should have done the right thing and prosecuted the Bush cabal.
