2. Happy Alaska Day! I remember 1st time I paid for this holiday and wondered wtf?

I didn't know of any particular holiday on Jan 3 but hey, wasn't going to complain. Then was told it was AK Day.

I read some letter to the editor today (can't find it now, sorry) comparing WA's budget woes with AK's. The gist of it was AK is encouraging people to start businesses where WA isn't and that is why AK budget is so high and WA one is so in the red. I thought of replying to them asking if they'd heard of oil, but decided it would just be a waste of my time.

AK is quite an interesting place, I miss much about it being back outside again.

Congrats Alaska and Alaskans and happy day.
