Oh goody! Yet ANOTHER republican felon!!
It's getting hard to keep track of all of them. This one sounds like a gem.

Cass County prosecutor moves to oust new presiding commissioner

Two days after Herschel Young took office as presiding commissioner of Cass County, the prosecuting attorney filed a lawsuit to have him removed from office.

The petition filed Monday in Cass County Circuit Court by Prosecutor Teresa Hensley argues that because of a felony conviction, Young was not a qualified candidate when he won election to the office in November.

In 1995, the Republican pleaded guilty to felony assault, given a suspended sentence of three years and placed on probation for three years.

A Missouri statute says that no person shall qualify as a candidate for elective office if he or she has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to a felony.

Young, who also has two new assault charges, said the 1995 case stemmed from an altercation in which a man spit on his wife.

The new charges stem from allegations that Young roughed up a teenage boy at a “mud run” June 26 in Garden City, Mo. Court documents say Young threw the boy to the ground and then kissed him on the mouth.

2. Glad to oblige
I heard about this guy a few months ago. Thought someone was confused. I mean, if you can't run for office if you're a felon, he wouldn't have been on the ballot, right?

Makes you wonder.

4. I've come to the theory that, when the media looks at misbehavior by a pol,
it goes something like this ...

Republican acts like scum ... gee, what did you expect? "Rs are scum", so why is it so "shocking" that an R acts like scum?

Dem/Lib does a minor (at best) jerk action ... OUTRAGE ... "Libs/Dems are supposed to be acting like saints, so when they run afoul, it's HORRIBLE! IT'S SO UNLIKE WHAT THEY PORTRAY THEMSELVES AS!"

Dem/Lib acts saintly/graciously in the face of a terrible person (such as Hillary presenting a shoe-shaped cake to a guy who said he'd eat his shoe if something of hers turned out as she predicted) ... no news there ... Dems/Libs are supposed to be acting nice.

Repub does a minor act of selflessness (say, helping an old lady up a curb) ... 24-hour news coverage ... because "Repubs are supposed to be evil! He's acting opposite the expectations!"

15. They've got a full pride of felons in GOP nowadays.
Or is it a murder of felons? I don't remember which is the proper term.
