Unemployment fell in 39 states last month; Employers added workers in 42 states
I'd like to interrupt the daily Obama bash fest to say, "Thank you President Barack Obama!" Your plan is working! :headbang: :yourock: :fistbump:

WASHINGTON - The unemployment rate fell last month in more than three-quarters of nation's states, evidence that companies are feeling more confident in the U.S. economy.

The Labor Department said Friday that the unemployment rate dropped in 39 states in April. That's an improvement from March when 34 states had reported decreases. The rate rose in three states and the District of Columbia. It was unchanged in eight states.

Employers added workers in 42 states. Only eight states and the District of Columbia lost jobs last month.

Nationally, businesses have added more than 250,000 jobs per month, on average, in the past three months. It's the fastest hiring spree in five years. The unemployment rate has dropped nearly a full percentage point since November. Still, it remains very high at 9 percent.

New York added 45,700 jobs in April, the most of any state. It was followed by Texas, which added 32,900 jobs, and Pennsylvania, which gained 23,700 jobs.

13. Turns out you are completely wrong.
ABC just gave a list. Several factories came back to the US. One decided to make a light bulb HERE instead of China.
The jobs are also in retailing, and this isn't the time of seasonal hiring for retail, and white collar.

I am VERY interested in the factory decisions.

10. It was expected that as discouraged workers got back into the market that it would go up.

8. What type of jobs?
Did they hire citizens or non-citizens?
Part time or full time or temps?
Long term or short term jobs?
And how many unemployed and not getting unemployment checks are there?

12. I have to wonder just how delicate some of Obama's supporters think he is.
I seem to think he's tougher than many of them do, judging by the defensiveness. I think Obama can handle West, and vice versa, and I suspect the two of them are still friends. They would probably laugh at the people painting them as some kind of mortal enemies.
