So I need a 12A toner cartridge AGAIN, so I just drove to a Staples which is right around the corner and I run into this guy I've known casually for about 25 years. So he says to me blah blah blah...just got back from New York. So I reply, "that's nice - what's up there?" (He's a dyed in the wool Philly guy)He replies......wait for it....

"I had a dinner with Jack Abramoff."

My (stunned) reply, "So how do you know him??"

He: "I went to college with him and he just got out and they had a benefit dinner for him, since he's broke and he just wrote a book which'll be coming out."

Me: "Wow."

I mean, WTF else can anyone say? Out loud to a friend of his, that is?

We live 1/4 mile from our neighbor and then it's over 2 miles in either direction to the next house.

It's 12 miles to a gas station and 25 to a grocery store.

But in my defense I ride my bicycle down to the gas station every Sunday to get the paper.
