Do You Feel You're Whistling Past the Graveyard?
I just can't get rid of this frightening feeling. We all know the Medicare issue is a victory ticket for every Dem politician in the country. But I have the god awful feeling that in a few weeks we are going to cave and put the Repukes right back in the driver's seat!

Blurb on CNN said Obama's budget chief very hopeful and pleased at budget/ceiling negotiations. You know that means we had to give the farm away..or at least the barn and the animals.

I keep feeling (for years now) that our Dems really don't want to be in power---because they can't deliver anything they promise because their corporate masters won't allow it. I feel the real "deal" is an agreement to "share in the Medicare outrage" to protect the Repukes so that we can fork over the Senate to them in 2012 plus the house and they will "allow" Obama to be prez for another term. In that term they can all hold hands and finish off the destruction of the lower 98% of the country. Sorry, but I just can't get rid of this feeling and wish we knew what got dragged from "the table" to the "slaughter house".

1. The only "negotiation" that will yield results is when people take to the streets, and stay there
And/or: Meaningfully withdraw their economic participation in the system which holds them captive.

2. I think the tipping point is coming where outrage will translate into action. There have
to be a lot of PO'ed people now and many might not have openly voiced their feelings. I view most citizens as pretty passive, but once a catalyst occurs I think we will see some outrage, if nothing else, more voter turnout. Otherwise, this is going to be a nation of peasants.

3. Most of the lower 98% are just surplus labor as far as the elites are concerned.

If we can't be blown up in endless undeclared wars, and we no longer have the disposable income to buy container shiploads of imported plastic junk, what are we good for?

The American people are the cast of extras in a zombie film to the PTB.
