...just as we expected. This race might not be decided today.

1. Corwin's already gotten an injunction barring the certification of a winner

Corwin was already being a sore loser before the polls even opened!

My mother used to live in this district. While it is very conservative, it's residents are also older than in most districts, and the Medicare issue is going to be a deciding factor.

2. That is ridiculous
People haven't even finished voting yet.
I'm surprised that the judge would order anything until 'after' the election.

3. I bet if there is a single piece of duct tape on the ballot bags
we will hear about it 24/7 from every Republican and Fox News pundit for weeks. Unlike Wisconsin...

5. What I've been wondering is WHY WE HAVE TO PUT UP
Edited on Tue May-24-11 05:36 PM by socialist_n_TN
WITH THIS SHIT???

Why does the left (or leftish) party have to have overwhelming numbers RE: turnout to win elections? Why does the leftish party LOSE every close election that comes about? Often with obvious bullshit, chain of custody issues for ballots (see Waukesha County, WI.). Yet those issues are passed over EVEN BY OUR (supposedly) OWN SIDE.

Instead, we hear "It's our own fault" when the Republicans STEAL another election, because "two or three more Dems per precinct" don't turn out to vote. Why the FUCK don't our elected representatives and their DLC toadies DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! Why is it always up to US, when we're so easy to ignore?

Elections are either fair or not. If they're fair, sobeit, we lost. But if the elections are rigged EVERY DEM AND DEM SUPPORTER NEEDS TO TALK ABOUT IT! IN THE STREETS IF NECESSARY! And this INCLUDES the national "leaders", not just the rank and file.

When the results are rigged when you try to work within the system, extra electoral rememdies are necessary.

10. We dont. There has to be something we can do to stop this crap.
We must have some "big guns" there who know what to do. This election has attracted serious national attention.

11. Well, it would be the first time

12. It may not make any difference is the election is not close..
Paul B. Wojtaszek, Buscaglia's law clerk, said such prospective court actions are permissible under the state's Election Law when a close vote is borne out by pre-voting polling. Buscaglia has scheduled a hearing in the election case for 10:30 a.m. Thursday in his second-floor courtroom at 25 Delaware Ave. But the entire matter could be "moot" if the winning margin is sufficient to eliminate any need for court action, Wojtaszek said.

13. Buscaglia's law clerk (Wojtaszek) is the former chair of the...
...Niagara County Republican party. It's not a surprise that this suit was filed.

6. Who is the county clerk in this county?
Being that it's a Republican stronghold, we need to know who will have access to those ballots. I hope the Dems are prepared to guard them against tampering.

I wonder if that clerk will "find" the necessary votes to win the election for the Republican.

7. It covers several counties
Parts of Erie, Niagara, Wyoming, Monroe, Orleans and Genesee counties, off the top of my head. The Democratic candidate is the county clerk for Erie county.

9. OK. Actually I think I had heard that last night.........
I just forgot.

However, that still doesn't answer the question. Will the Dems in that area be able to keep those ballots safe from tampering? Or will they be under control of the Republicans in that area?

8. Doubtless to be released after the "necessary adjustments"
are made by TPTB.

This country is terminally screwed.
