I'm sending good vibes. I don't think we've over April 18th around here where 20+ yrs. ago tornadoes weren't a problem.

4. It's freaky when tornadoes become an issue in mountain country! I was astonished a few years ago
when there was a tornado in Asheville NC, where I lived for a while. I thought mountains were basically immune to tornadoes!

7. When I was a kid 40+ yrs. ago and we were driving up the GA
side of Lookout Mtn. the talk was 'if a tornado should ever get into this valley, it'll tear everything up.' It was a joke at the time, because they didn't happen here. Now we have to be on the lookout for them in Nov. for pity's sake.

But, nothing is changing, no, plants don't come up earlier, nor bloom earlier, it doesn't get in the upper 80's then cool down toward the end of Feb., nothing is changing. I think we're lucky here, while it lasts, as we've watched funnels form from our front porch, and something nasty even if it isn't a full on tornado will hit Bradley or Polk Co. (2 nearby counties).

We didn't used to have to deal with this shit and we'll ill prepared as far as basements and storm shelters go. I shudder to think how much it would cost to have the huge rocks dug out of my backyard to even try. :hi:
